10 parts of Air Compressor you must keep handy

Air Compressor you must keep handy

Most of the industries like Food & Beverages, pharmaceuticals, textiles etc have been extensively using modern-day air compressors to enhance their business and to improve product quality as these air compressors are the need of the hour and. Industries which were not using these air compressors earlier have started to realise its potential and are slowly shifting to air compressors to enhance their productivity and get the most out of their business. Compressor manufacturers in India have been designing a wide variety of air compressors and there are many parts attached to these compressors which you must keep in hand always. We will be discussing those 10 parts in this article

Parts of Air Compressor

10 Air Compressor parts to keep handy

In case of emergency, below are the 10 air compressor parts that you must keep in your inventory always as these are the critical parts and need to be replaced immediately in case of failures. Even the oil-free air compressor manufacturers across the world recommend these parts to be kept in the inventory for immediate use

  1. PANEL FILTERS

In order to protect the control board of the air compressors from aerosol and other dust and foreign particles, panel filters are designed. Unprotected and continuous exposure of control boards to dust particles could otherwise cause short circuit and cause electric failures

  1. OIL FILTER

Oil filter replacements are a part of the scheduled maintenance that are performed on the air compressors and a standard oil filter usually lasts for around 1000 hours. Some of them could even go to 2000 hours depending upon the usage of the machine.

  1. OIL

Oils are one of the most important things that must be kept handy at all times by the operators working in various shifts as oils are frequently needed to be topped up during shifts failing which can cause system failures

  1. INLINE CHECK VALUES

The inline check valves are not very costly parts and must always be there with you in your inventory as these valves protect air from escaping the tank which might go to the pump head and that might not be a good thing for the compressor

  1. & 6. INLET VALVE OPEN and INLET VALVE CLOSE

These are two of the most important parts of the air compressors which need to be kept handy at all times in the inventory. These are as important as the control valves. If either one of these two valves do not perform as expected, the entire system might fail leading to production and other failures which might force you to call an emergency during night shifts and odd hours. So, better to carry these valves always in your inventories so that you might use them as soon as any of them malfunctions

  1. CONTROL AIR VALUES

One of the most critical components of any compressor is the control air values. These are used to regulate the demand for air by opening and closing the inlet valve open and close failing which the signal to your valves will not be sent.

  1. DONUT GASKETS

Donut gaskets just like any other gasket are used to prevent the seepage of oil and used in the oil return line. The oil seepage is clearly indicated as it is visible in the line itself.

  1. INLET AIR FILTERS

These inlet air filters are fitted in front of the inlet air valve keeping the large amount of trash out of your compressor which prevents the unwanted materials and particles from entering inside the compressor cylinder.

  1.  MINIMUM PRESSURE CHECK VALVE REBUILD KIT

These check valves are an important components of an air compressor and control valves to operate below a predefined pressure check point thus keeping the system safe
